I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). These treatments are transdiagnostic, meaning that they can help with a wide variety of mental health concerns. This is important because many parts of wellbeing are interconnected. We will balance learning mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness tools alongside exploring how our thoughts, feelings, body, and behaviors may be communicating about our past, our current selves, and where we would like to go in the future.
My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and real. I’m trained and experienced in addressing mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. Using a biological, psychological, and social model, we will work together to better understand possible causes of your challenges and develop skills to replace ineffective behaviors. This is more than traditional talk therapy; it is an approach that balances structure and space to reduce suffering and help you live towards your values.
